What is a Ration Card in Rajasthan?

A ration card is an official document issued by the Government of Rajasthan that allows eligible families to buy food grains at subsidised rates from Fair Price Shops (FPS) under the Public Distribution System (PDS).

It also works as identity proof and address proof for other government services. You can use it for Aadhaar seeding, bank account opening, domicile certificates, voter ID applications, and property purchases in Rajasthan.

The Food and Civil Supplies Department, Government of Rajasthan, issues and manages all ration cards under the National Food Security Act (NFSA), 2013.
